EDUCATION

  • Reviewing Head Start discretionary grants for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families, Office of Head Start.
  • Facilitate meetings with special interest groups, parents, and community organizations to obtain information for the development of Children First, A New Agenda for Public Schools in New York City.
  • Legal counsel to Community School Districts 5 in Harlem and 7 in the South Bronx Litigate Education Law §3020-a, Civil Service Law §75, and Chancellor Circular 31R proceedings.
  • Hearing Officer presiding over special education suspension hearing mandating compliance with the Individual With Disabilities Act (IDEA), Represent special education students and general education students within the Chancellor’s District and the Michael J. Petrides School at administrative suspension hearings regarding allegations of misbehavior.
